Job summary

Instep CU is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting function and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role reports to the CEO and involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Key duties include processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and handling tax payments and vendor invoices. Ideal candidates have 3 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s in Accounting (preferred).

Qualifications

• 3 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and verify journal entries and accounting classifications.
• Prepare income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports.
• Maintain general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end processing.
• Balance and reconcile various accounts; collaborate with departments to correct transactions.
• Process tax payments and vendor invoices for payment.
• Monitor and reconcile cash, and support cash-related processes.
