Job summary

University of California, Los Angeles Luskin Conference Center is seeking a detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will maintain guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, and offices, operating cleaning equipment and delivering high-quality service in alignment with our standards.

Applicants should be able to work evenings and weekends as needed, demonstrate strong English communication, teamwork, and reliability while upholding a no-tipping environment and UCLA’s

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamental custodial tasks and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use of chemical materials and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures for both personal and public safety.
• Knowledge of carpet and hard floor care techniques.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods.
• Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner.
• Ability to sufficiently communicate in written and verbal English to receive work assignments and share information with supervisors and colleagues.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a team.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pristine condition of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, and administrative offices.
• Operate cleaning equipment and execute daily housekeeping operations to Luskin standards.
• Follow established safety policies and report maintenance issues as needed.
