Job summary

The UCLA Luskin Conference Center is seeking a detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will help maintain guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms and administrative offices to the Center's high standards for cleanliness, order, and exceptional guest service.

You will operate cleaning equipment and perform daily housekeeping tasks in alignment with Luskin Conference Center’s expectations, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and campus visitors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamental custodial tasks and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use of chemical materials and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures for both personal and public safety.
• Knowledge of carpet and hard floor care techniques.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods.
• Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner.
• Ability to sufficiently communicate in written and verbal English to receive work assignments and share information with supervisors and colleagues.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a team.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Department Summary

The Luskin Conference Center (LCC) is a 300,000-square-foot, 7-story property on the UCLA campus. LCC is comprised of 254 guest rooms, approximately 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a 160-seat restaurant, a fitness center, and a business center. The LCC is an academic meeting and conference destination supporting UCLA's education and research mission.The Luskin Conference Center is a no-tipping environment.

Position Summary

The UCLA Luskin Conference Center is seeking a detail-oriented and guest-focused Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the pristine condition of our guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, and administrative offices. You will operate cleaning equipment and execute daily housekeeping operations in alignment with Luskin Conference Center’s high standards for quality, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service.

Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
