Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our OD family culture in a fast-paced service center. You will deliver exceptional customer service, provide rate quotes and shipment updates, and assist customers with bills of lading and freight labeling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AS400 experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to emails courteously and timely.
• Provide rate quotes, sales bids, and shipment status information.
• Assist customers with completing a Bill of Lading and labeling freight.
• Respond to customer issues promptly and provide Service 2.OD to customers.
• Assist with general office duties as needed (mailing, filing, copying).
• Scan documents into the computer system (Bill of Ladings, Delivery Receipts, permits).
