Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to deliver exceptional service in a high-call-volume service center. You will assist customers with rate quotes, shipment statuses, and documentation while supporting internal teams.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, clear communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with AS400 experience preferred. This is a full-time position guided by OD's family culture and values.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner.
• Provide general customer service by giving rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, and assisting with Bills of Lading.
• Respond to customer issues and questions promptly.
• Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers.
• Assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing, and copying.
• Scan documents into the computer system.
