Job summary

AmSpec Services is seeking a laboratory technician to perform quantitative analyses, quality control, and general maintenance of lab equipment. You will review work orders, conduct analyses to standards, document results, and generate analytical reports.

The role involves QA/QC testing, maintaining instruments and supplies, and supporting safety protocols; regular communication with colleagues and management is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and some college credits preferred.
• Basic computer, mathematics and science skills required.
• Ability to learn new procedures and work independently after training.
• Effective communication with colleagues and management.
• Strong focus on safety and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and understand work orders for all samples.
• Perform required analysis according to standards and requirements.
• Document test results neatly and accurately.
• Prepare analytical reports corresponding to analyses.
• Conduct QA/QC testing and assist with control charts.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Compliance with drug and alcohol testing program; safety sensitive position.
