Job summary

ConTech Construction Company in Colorado is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial projects. You will perform takeoffs, analyze plans, solicit pricing from subs and suppliers, and help assemble bid packages for leadership review.

The role requires at least 3 years of estimating experience, proficiency with estimating or CM software, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating ground-up construction, tenant improvements, or commercial renovations.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specs to prepare estimates.
• Perform detailed takeoffs for commercial projects.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subs, and suppliers.
• Solicit pricing from subs and vendors and compare bids.
• Assist with bid packages, proposals and executive summaries.
• Track project costs and subcontractor information.
• Maintain estimating templates, cost databases and tools.
• Communicate with subs, vendors, PMs and leadership during estimating process.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks and VE opportunities.
• Support preconstruction planning and handoff after award.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and bids.
