Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bookkeeper or in a comparable finance or accounting support role.
• Knowledge of general ledger processes, bookkeeping practices, and fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports.
• Familiarity with accounting software and billing systems.
• Strong data-entry skills, with a high level of accuracy when entering and coding information.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain orderly financial records and filing systems.
• Effective communication skills and a service-minded approach when working with colleagues.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly and follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Process billing and coding entries accurately and within established timelines.
• Record, review, and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software.
• Maintain and organize financial documents, supporting records, and filing systems.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and other finance-related materials using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with general ledger activities and help keep financial records complete and current.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing information and completing assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with other departments to support accurate, responsive, and customer-oriented financial processes.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and bring them to the appropriate team members’ attention.
