Job summary

JAB Supply is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk in Wickliffe, Ohio to support day-to-day accounting tasks. The role offers in-office work Monday through Friday with competitive benefits and pay starting at $21.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

The right candidate will have a high school diploma, or an associate degree in accounting or related field, and experience with AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and basic general ledger entries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in accounting including AP/AR, billing, or general office support.
• Working knowledge of AP/AR processes, invoice processing, payment posting, reconciliations, and basic general ledger entries.
• POs experience is a plus.
• Strong data entry, math, and 10-key with high accuracy.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and accounting software; QuickBooks experience a plus.
• Ability to maintain organized, confidential financial records and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices and payments.
• Verify vouchers, cash, checks, and other accounting documents.
• Reconcile bank and vendor statements, analyze ledger entries, report discrepancies.
• Prepare basic financial reports and account summaries for management.
• Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve questions.
• Maintain organized filing systems for invoices and receipts.
• Assist with month-end close, audits, and tax filing support.
