Job summary

XLR sa in Wemmel is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to handle day-to-day accounting and support management, in close collaboration with our external accounting firm.

You will record invoices in Odoo, follow up on customer and supplier accounts, perform bank reconciliations, assist with VAT returns, and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, is fluent in French, Dutch and English, and is comfortable working on-site at Wemmel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
• Experience with Odoo's accounting and invoicing features.
• Proficient with Excel and standard office software.
• Willing to work from Wemmel office with a reasonable commute.

Responsibilities

• Accounting entries: Record purchase and sales invoices, expense reports and bank transactions in Odoo.
• Customer and supplier follow-up: Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue invoices and prepare supplier payments.
• Bank reconciliation: Ensure that accounting entries match bank statements, identify discrepancies and report any issues.
• Preparation of tax and accounting filings: Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and gather information for deadlines.
• Administrative support: File and archive documents, manage correspondence and ensure records are maintained.
