Job summary

8sian Signs, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2+ years of experience in a retail and/or restaurant setting to manage high-volume daily sales, AP, payroll support, and vendor records.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Toast POS, QuickBooks, and MS Office, with excellent data entry accuracy and strong communication skills. This role requires independent work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
• Associate degree or higher in accounting or related coursework.
• Toast POS experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to reconcile complex transaction data from multiple systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliation and ensure POS data accuracy, including Toast.
• Review and reconcile high-volume daily sales transactions from multiple sources.
• Reconcile merchant statements with daily sales and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice review and payment support.
• Maintain AR records for cards and ensure timely bank deposits via merchant processor.
• Perform bank and system reconciliations for accurate records.
• Assist payroll processing using Paylocity and review payroll data for accuracy.
• Prepare daily sales reports and support weekly/monthly financial statements.
• Maintain organized records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with inventory counts and data reconciliation; update pricing in POS.
