Job summary

Norma Precision Inc. in Savannah, GA, seeks a Junior Staff Accountant to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role works under the Controller and helps maintain accurate, timely records.

Under the direction of the Controller, you will communicate with internal departments, customers, vendors, and other business partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting month-end close and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• Up to two years of accounting, accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping, or related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment is helpful but not required.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and standard office software; learn accounting/expense-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries, analyze accounts, and support month-end/year-end close.
• Reconcile balance sheet, bank, and GL accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Process transactions and assist with intercompany activity per procedures.
• Support routine financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and variance explanations.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Handle accounts payable processing and bank reconciliations as assigned.
• Maintain records and support expense management system administration.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve questions and discrepancies.
