Job summary

Simera is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role requires solid accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting activities.

You will record daily transactions, assist with AP/AR, process invoices and payments, perform reconciliations, and help with month-end close and reporting.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with invoices, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as required.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and account balances.
• Research discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
• Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with audits by gathering and organizing documentation.
• Ensure activities follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial info.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support process improvements and accounting projects.
