Job summary

Galveston Park Board is seeking a Destination Services Specialist to coordinate destination events, familiarization tours, meetings, and partner activities in Galveston. You’ll help manage guest materials, attendee lists, transportation details, and run-of-show documents while supporting Sales, Marketing, and PR initiatives.

The role requires a hospitality/related degree or equivalent experience, strong organization and communication skills, and ability to work flexible hours including some

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, Communications, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures, schedules, event plans, and instructions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM/event management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event logistics using established plans, schedules, and checklists.
• Prepare guest packets, name badges, attendance lists, transportation details, itineraries, and materials.
• Confirm details with hotels, venues, attractions, and partners.
• Prepare, pack, ship, and store promotional materials for trade shows and events.
• Provide on-site event support including setup, registration, and guest check-in.
