Job summary

Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination by Hyatt on Isle of Palms, SC, is seeking an Event Planning Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute group meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. You will serve as the primary client liaison, work with resort departments to ensure flawless events, and help grow revenue through upselling catering, activities, and services.

The role requires flexibility, hospitality excellence, and collaboration across Sales, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and Operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in Event Planning, Event Services, Catering, or Hospitality Management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute group events from turnover to post-event follow-up (weddings, conferences, meetings).
• Serve as primary liaison between clients and resort operations to ensure accurate requirements and successful execution.
• Develop and maintain event documentation including banquet event orders, rooming lists, agendas, diagrams, and resumes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Culinary, Recreation, Spa, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure smooth events.
• Monitor details, anticipate needs, resolve issues, and maintain service excellence.
• Maintain event records, forecasting, reporting, and budget information; support revenue growth through upselling of amenities and services.
