Caker in New York, NY is seeking a Cake Team Member to support kitchen operations, including scaling, decorating and producing all desserts for the café. You will help ensure quality, safety and a presentable cake display while maintaining a clean workstation.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience in confectionery, strong multitasking and communication skills, and a Food Handler's Certificate. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Formación

• Knowledge of food production processes and sanitation.
• 1+ year relevant experience.
• Knowledge of production techniques and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, labeling, and FDA considerations.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized under pressure.
• Provide good customer service to internal and external customers.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Food Handler's Certificate is required.

Responsabilidades

• Scale, decorate, and produce desserts, pastries, and cakes.
• General knowledge of confectionary production methods and organization.
• Teach new cakers techniques and demonstrate proper methods.
• Sanitization procedures and cleanliness of workstation.
• Time management and strong organizational skills.
• Know recipes and procedures for all production items.
• Keep cake display presentable for customers.
• Prepare creams and sauces for cakes and pastries.
• Receive, stock, and store food in designated areas.
• Inform supervisor when equipment fails or supplies run low.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
