Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Desktop UI Developer to lead a greenfield effort to bring Circuit to the desktop. You will build a persistent, ambient, native-grade experience for macOS and Windows, bridging the web UI with native OS features.

You will own desktop lifecycle, OS integration, installers, and safe auto-updates while collaborating with designers and engineers in an Agile team to deliver a high-performance, WCAG-compliant desktop product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years for further levels.
• Strong experience turning Figma designs into scalable UIs.
• Proven desktop app delivery on macOS/Windows using Electron or Tauri.
• Extensive knowledge of IPC, security, and auto-update mechanisms.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cross‑platform packaging.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the Circuit Desktop app for macOS and Windows using Electron/Tauri.
• Implement desktop-specific functionality: system tray, notifications, deep linking, auto-updates.
• Collaborate with designers, backend, and QA in an Agile team.
• Ensure WCAG compliance for dynamic AI interfaces and robust accessibility.
