Job summary

clickclick is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, macOS to design, implement, and improve native macOS features. You will own components end to end, from architectural decisions to release, while collaborating with design, product, and infrastructure teams.

The role emphasizes high-quality, performance-aware desktop development and deep integration with Apple platform capabilities. You will contribute to a production desktop app with a focus on reliability, scalability, and polished user

Qualifications

• 8+ years shipping production macOS apps in Swift, SwiftUI and AppKit.
• Strong macOS architecture knowledge and native interaction conventions.
• Experience with Swift concurrency, asynchronous programming, and state management.
• Ability to debug complex UI, lifecycle, performance, and reliability issues.
• Proven ability to write clear, testable code for other engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain native macOS features in Swift, SwiftUI, and AppKit.
• Own features end to end from design through release.
• Improve architecture, state management, window behavior, and navigation for desktop workflows.
• Integrate platform frameworks and system capabilities in a natural, private, and reliable way.
• Profile and debug performance, memory, concurrency, rendering, and UI responsiveness.
• Write maintainable, testable code and strengthen automated coverage.
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly with design, product, and engineering partners.
