Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Desktop Technician in Fort Worth, TX for a temporary assignment within the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will provide technical support by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, software, and network equipment.

You will resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, configure equipment, and activate data connections, while supporting end users and assisting with relocations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with deploying assets, troubleshooting, and Personal Computer refreshes.
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience consisting of hardware repair.
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience consisting of operation systems such as Windows.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of duties in support of end users for Information Technology (IT) hardware and software.
• Basic technical certification, hardware repair, component level knowledge, operation systems (Windows, Unix/Linux, and application knowledge, troubleshooting techniques
• Install and configure network devices (network printers, scanners, plotters, Personal Computers).
• Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices.
• Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).
• Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move Personal Computers and activate data drops in new location).
• Troubleshoot network issues with Personal Computers and Local Area Network (LAN) (duplex mismatches, duplicate Internet Protocols, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues)
• Set up and configure Personal Computer's

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with deploying assets, troubleshooting, and Personal Computer refreshes
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience consisting of hardware repair
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience consisting of operation systems such as Windows

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and drug screen.
