Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Sr. Desktop Engineer for a temporary 12+ month assignment.

The role focuses on infrastructure support, hardware break/fix, imaging, data migrations, and in-person troubleshooting, with a 1st shift, 4x10 schedule and a pay rate of $21.40 per hour. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hardware repair, printer support, Windows OS experience, and hands-on in-person technical support, plus strong communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Using knowledge in all aspects of computer design, functionality, system operation, and infrastructure.
• Desktop Technicians will be handling moving equipment between sites, imaging, refreshes, data migrations, etc. Could include some break/fix work.
• Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
• Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources
• Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices.
• Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).
• Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
• Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with technical experience consisting of hardware repair and printer support.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with technical experience consisting of operation s ystems such as Windows
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing technical support in an in-person setting

What Sets You Apart:

Prior experience with MacOS, Linux, Apple IOS.

Possessed project management and strong communication skills

Customer Service and ability to communicate with high level leaders in a fast-paced work environment

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
