Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Desktop Technician to support Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs users across enterprise environments. The role provides Tier II/III support, installs and configures hardware and software, and ensures reliable IT operations for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.

Rate: $15.00 to $22.00/hr. w2. This is a contract to hire opportunity with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical experience.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers/scanners, LAN, servers, and switches.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

• Support GIS, AutoCAD, and other business apps.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.

Our client seeks a Desktop Technician to support Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs users across enterprise environments. The role provides Tier II/III support, installs and configures hardware and software, supports standard and specialized applications, and ensures reliable IT operations for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.
