Overview:

Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join their team for a 3-month contract, with the potential to become a permanent role. The position involves collaboration with the onsite team in Southern Maine.

What you will be doing:

• Configuration & Deployment
• Support the implementation and management of telecom systems, ensuring seamless operation
• Package and deliver telephony equipment to client facilities in Southern Maine and New Hampshire
• Perform basic rack mounting and wiring of telephony equipment
• Document and maintain telecom inventory, contracts, and service agreements
• Support telecom initiatives, including upgrades and installations
• Configure and install telephone handsets, including voicemail
• Provide end user support and deskside training on hardware and software
• Collaborate with senior analysts to troubleshoot telecom issues and propose solutions
• Coordinate with third-party service providers to resolve customer service issues
• Make simple repairs to equipment

What you must have:

• 1 to 3+ years' experience supporting telephone equipment
• Knowledge of premise and cloud-based UCaaS solutions
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot telecommunication technologies
• Familiarity with voicemail, ACD, and call center applications
• Proven customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with telecom management software and tools
• Basic understanding of network troubleshooting

Required Education:

Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Additional Information:

This role requires candidates to work onsite at our client's site in York, Maine.
