We’re hiring a hands‑on Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support in a fast‑paced enterprise environment in Lenexa, KS. This is a long‑term contract opportunity for someone who thrives on resolving end‑user issues, supporting both Windows and macOS environments, and delivering a high‑quality customer experience.
You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for technical support, handling hardware, software, and device lifecycle needs while keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals across hardware and software
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and macOS issues, including performance, updates, and configurations
- Deliver strong Mac support across OS and applications, this is a key component of the role
- Handle password resets, user access requests, and system updates
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues including drives, displays, and accessories
- Troubleshoot wireless and basic network connectivity issuesManage and restore user profiles, including application setup and configuration
- Install and support wireless certificates on workstations and mobile devices
- Distribute and support peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, and adapters
- Manage loaner devices including tracking, imaging, repair, and redeployment
- Act as a centralized pickup and drop‑off point for end‑user devices
- Support incident remediation following system updates or deployments
- Fulfill service requests in alignment with SLA expectations
- Assist with software installations and user environment configurations
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalations and maintain service continuity
- Maintain accurate ticketing, documentation, and asset tracking
- Provide light coordination support for IT projects and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of desktop or end‑user support experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience supporting Windows OS and macOS
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Experience with user profile management and device imaging
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to Have:
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification
- Experience supporting device lifecycle management programs
- Exposure to asset tracking and inventory tools
- Basic understanding of networking and security concepts
