Job summary

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to deliver Tier 1–3 assistance and hands-on end-user device support across on-site and remote environments. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and availability of desktop resources for 100+ staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Windows background, ITIL familiarity, and experience with software deployment and remote management tools (e.g., InTune).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in IT or relevant certifications preferred.
• ITIL experience or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years as a Desktop Technician or similar IT support role with 100+ computers.
• At least 1 year with desktop management and software deployment tools.
• Minimum 5 years Windows OS experience and common business apps.
• 3 years handling tickets via enterprise help desk system.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on end-user device support (desktop, laptop, mobile, desk phone).
• Serve as a contact for the help desk and provide remote support.
• Diagnose, maintain, upgrade, and configure desktop systems for new users.
• Monitor and track IT support tickets, escalate as needed.
• Assist with software deployments and patching; provide on-site support.
• Maintain IT asset inventory for desktop hardware and software.
