Job Description:
This request is for a Desktop Support Specialist to assist Client Services Operations in supporting Service Desk requests, hardware installations, and customer software support at Century Center and other Raleigh locations. Travel is required.

Client Services utilizes technical expertise and understanding of business needs to evaluate IT incident and problem tickets, prioritizing based on business impact. The role involves promoting positive customer relationships, mentoring team members, and taking ownership of customer issues with a sense of urgency. Communication of progress and updates to customers and team members is essential. The specialist serves as a technical resource for resolving complex problems, with skills in hardware, software, peripherals, networking, and communications.

Responsibilities include installing and imaging computers, deploying applications, configuring peripherals, migrating user data and profiles, and staying updated with current technology trends. Collaboration with Data Center Operations, application development, and network teams is required to resolve issues and implement solutions.

Project Management: The candidate should be capable of leading projects, directing team efforts, assessing skills, and providing project status updates to management.

Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation of processes and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with operational and service agreements. Documentation should be reviewed annually.

System Security: Adhere to DOT and ITS security policies, implementing security requirements and protecting data from unauthorized access or alteration.

Required / Desired Skills and Experience:

• Skills in various hardware, software, peripherals, networking protocols, and communications
• Experience installing and imaging computers, loading software, and configuring peripherals
• Data migration and profile management
• Documentation of technical processes and procedures
• Experience with ServiceNow call tracking system
