Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Desktop Support / Logistics Specialist in Portland, on-site for a 7‑month engagement. You will provide frontline IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, while coordinating procurement and asset tracking to ensure smooth operations.

Role requires Windows/macOS, basic networking, and experience with service desks such as ServiceNow or Jira. On-site duties include inventory management and shipments for hardware and software assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk.
• Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Experience in logistics, inventory management, or procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and security tools.
• Assist with user account management (Active Directory, email, VPN, etc.).

• Track asset lifecycle: deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Role: Desktop Support / Logistics Specialist

Location: Portland OR, Onsite

Duration: 7 months, with possible extensions

Pay rate: $30-35/hour on W2 (client will not consider C2C)

• Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
