Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking an on-site IT support specialist to assist end-users in Springfield, Missouri. This independent contractor role covers desktop troubleshooting, hardware installation, and basic network support in a dynamic client environment.

You will work in a field-based setting, handling Windows desktops and peripherals, coordinating with the service delivery team, and ensuring adherence to client security policies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.

We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
