Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to deliver on-site IT assistance for enterprise clients on an on-demand basis. Immediate start, contract-based assignments, with site locations provided ahead of each engagement.

You will troubleshoot Windows desktops and peripherals, configure hardware and software, and assist with networking and printer issues while following client security policies. Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of desktop support experience
• On-site desktop support for enterprise clients
• Ability to work independently in onsite environments

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This role involves responding to service requests when required and providing hands‑on technical assistance for desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripheral devices at the client location.

This is a contract‑based, on‑demand position, meaning work assignments will be provided as needed. Availability and responsiveness are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.

Work Model

• On‑demand / field support role
• The Service Delivery Team will share work assignments
• Engineers will be contacted via phone or email when support is required
• Engineers will receive site location, SPOC details, and reporting time before each assignment
