Axiom Technologies in the United States is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This contract-based role requires hands-on technical assistance with desktops, laptops, networks, and peripherals at client locations.

As an Independent Contractor in Redding, CA, you will respond to service requests, work with the Service Delivery Team, and ensure timely, accurate delivery of support with strict adherence to client security

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose desktop, printer and peripheral issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at client locations.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise apps.
• Support network connectivity issues including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement and hardware installations.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Adhere to client IT policies and security procedures while onsite.

Role Overview

This is a contract‑based, on‑demand position, meaning work assignments will be provided as and when support is required. Availability and responsiveness are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Work Model

• Work assignments will be shared by the Service Delivery Team
• Engineers will be contacted via phone or email when support is required
• Engineers will receive site location, SPOC details, and reporting time before each assignment
• No guaranteed number of working hours
