Job summary

Veradigm is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to provide frontline support for IS software and hardware onsite. You will perform initial troubleshooting, identify escalation paths, and fulfill basic service requests for client users.

You will diagnose networking issues, assist with new system deployments, document resolutions, and write user guides. Strong problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with ticketing systems are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience required.
  • CompTIA A+, HDI, Microsoft MCSA or related technical certification (preferred).
  • 2–4 years relevant work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for IS software and hardware and perform initial troubleshooting.
  • Identify escalation paths for incidents and fulfil basic service requests.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues and determine appropriate escalation.
  • Assist in new system deployments and loading appropriate software.
  • Handle incidents escalated from first line of support.
  • Write support documentation for client/department use.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from associates experiencing problems with supported software or hardware.
  • Identify and resolve intermediate level desktop/laptop hardware problems.

Job description

The Desktop Support Analyst provides support assistance to client users experiencing problems with IS supported software and hardware. Desktop Support Analysts are responsible for performing initial troubleshooting and identifying the appropriate escalation path for incidents received by other teams as well as the fulfilment of basic service requests. This is a fully onsite position Troubleshoots networking issues and determines appropriate escalation path Resolves and works proactively on virus issues and initiatives Assists in new system deployments/loading appropriate software as needed Handles incidents escalated from first line of support Writes support documentation for client and/or departmental use Provides suggestions and information on projects that should be undertaken by the department Responds to requests for assistance from associates who are experiencing problems with supported software or hardware Documents results of problem resolution session using the internal ticketing and remote access system Identifies and resolves intermediate level desktop/laptop hardware problems.

Job Requirements

CompTIA A+, HDI, Microsoft MCSA or related technical certification (preferred) 2-4 years relevant work experience (preferred) Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficient level knowledge of the following: General familiarity with the healthcare industry. Knowledge of enterprise level technologies. Experience using a service management ticketing system. Business level written and verbal communication skills Analytical and problem-solving skills
