Job summary

Alava Consulting is seeking a Desktop Support Professional to provide hands-on break-fix and deskside support across multiple offices in the Houston area. This permanent, full-time, on-site role requires regular travel between nearby locations to support end users in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software, deploying desktops, supporting Office 365, and maintaining AD accounts. Local travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of desktop/deskside or field support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting with Windows and Microsoft 365/Office 365.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS/Android).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable local travel.
• Must be local to Houston; on-site role with travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, and peripheral issues.
• Perform break-fix support for Windows desktops and laptops.
• Install, image, configure, deploy, and replace desktops and equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts.
• Provide basic network connectivity and printer support.
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot Active Directory accounts and Group Policy issues.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
• Prioritize and manage multiple requests while delivering excellent customer service.
• Travel between client office locations throughout the Houston area as needed.
