Job summary

General Dynamics IT in Virginia Beach seeks a Desktop Support Supervisor to manage Tier 1 and 2 support, perform hardware and software updates on DoW networks, and maintain on‑premise laptops, desktops, and Zero Clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience; or Associate degree with 4 years; or Bachelor's degree with 2 years.
• 2+ years in at least three areas: VDI, Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, Information Security, Desktop applications.
• 2+ years configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows 11 desktops.
• Ability to support a 24x7x365 schedule and travel as required.
• Knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to DoW Configuration Management, Information Assurance, and Systems Lifecycle Management processes.
• Creating and updating lifecycle documentation as required.

With minimal supervision, the Tier 2 Systems Administrator works as part of an enterprise team to provide support on multiple Department of War (DoW) networks and enclaves. You will manage services using on-premise hardware and perform regular hardware and software updates. Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of laptops, desktops, and Zero Clients. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to Tier 1 & 2 support. Deliver technical support to the Enterprise components as required. Additionally, you must be able to implement system management tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
