Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. seeks a Desktop Services Technician in Orlando to provide on-site technical support for computers, mobile devices, peripherals and apps at corporate and remote locations.

You will handle IMAC tasks, monitor tickets, and assist the Desktop Services team on projects while participating in on-call coverage. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in IT, strong desktop tech, and familiarity with Intune and Jamf.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; degree equivalency accepted in lieu of education.
• Strong technical acumen on desktop and application technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Basic understanding of IT security principles and ITIL/ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ticket systems and complete basic PC build and deployment requests.
• Perform IMAC changes to meet customer needs and timelines.
• Provide timely responses and ensure tickets meet SLA requirements.
• Support in-house Desktop Services team with basic tasks and setups.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support where applicable.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical repairs as needed.

Desktop Services Technician

will be responsible for providing technical support to our corporate and remote locations for computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and applications. The Desktop Services Technician will also be responsible for the successful completion of Desktop related projects under supervision. This will be an onsite position in the Orlando office Monday - Friday.

How You’ll Shine:

• Monitor the internal ticket systems and complete basic support requests for PC build and deployments (30% time)
• Perform installations, moves, adds and changes (IMAC) to meet customer needs (15% time)
• Provide support and respond to queries in a timely manner. Ensure tickets are completed in accordance with the appropriate Service Level Agreement (10% time)
• Support the in-house Desktop Services team with basic requests (i.e. replacing cables, setting up projectors, moving computers, etc. (15% time)
• Complete any other tasks as requested by the team supervisor or senior member of staff (10% time)
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure support coverage for emergency situations, where applicable (10% time)
• Must be able to push, physically handle, and lift objects up to approximately 50 lbs. (5% time)
• Must be able to stoop, bend, climb ladders, pull wire, kneel and crawl to make repairs, adjust and/or install equipment (5% time)

Travel Requirements

• Travel 15% - Occasional travel for Resort or Office specific Desktop needs.

What You’ll Bring:

• Associate degree required
• Strong Technical acumen on Desktop and/or Application technologies
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Basic understanding of information technology security principles.
• Basic understanding of ITIL / ITSM processes and procedures.
• Windows 10/11 administration: Installation, configuration, updates, drivers, etc
• macOS familiarity
• Microsoft Office 365
• Intune
• TCP/IP basics: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, general connectivity troubleshooting
• PC hardware troubleshooting
• Printer setup and break/fix
• Mobile device basics (iOS and Android)
• Active Directory basics: Password resets, group membership, etc
• Remote Desktop tools (i.e. Bomgar, TeamViewer, etc)
• Basic virtualization knowledge (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, etc)
• Basic Cloud fundamentals
• 2 years' experience within the Information Technology field
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Intune and Jamf

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
