Job summary

Cook Systems is seeking a skilled IT Desktop Support Specialist to configure, install, monitor, and maintain desktop software and hardware for our users. This role supports a mobile workforce and provides expert guidance on end-user computing within desktop LAN systems.

You will lead Tier 2 support, coordinate with vendors for Tier 3 issues, document solutions, and deliver on-site training as required. The team values excellence and accountability, offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support for desktop software and hardware products.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience providing maintenance and support for moderately complex to complex client products.
• Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, monitor, and maintain desktop software and hardware for IT users.
• Provide technical support and guidance through Tier 2 support, escalating to vendors for Tier 3 issues as needed.
• Document solutions to problems and develop end-user guidelines.
• Provide on-site training to users as required.
• Evaluate, maintain, modify, and document desktop application packages.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implement prototypes.
• Consult and make recommendations to IT users on hardware and software product selection to meet business requirements.
• Work on multiple projects as a project team member and coach junior technical staff.
