Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Desktop Application Packaging & Deployment Systems Administrator to secure and streamline enterprise desktop software across a globally distributed environment. You will manage packaging, imaging, and deployment processes, partner with security and engineering teams, and ensure compliant, secure user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 8+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree for Senior
• 10+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree for Principal
• DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g. Security+ CE)
• Active TS/SCI clearance with favorable polygraph
• Hands-on administration of enterprise desktop applications or endpoint management platforms
• Proficiency with Windows Desktop OS, MDT, AD/GP, PowerShell, AppV, MECM/Intune
• Familiarity with patching, vulnerability management, and compliance

Responsibilities

• Package, test, and deploy enterprise desktop applications using MECM, Intune, and task sequences
• Standardize OS builds, baselines, drivers, and imaging
• Manage application versioning, updates, and rollout across networks
• Troubleshoot deployment, OS build, and packaging issues
• Support VDI and physical client environments with approved applications
• Maintain packaging docs, SOPs, and accreditation packages
• Collaborate with security, engineering, and operations teams to ensure secure deployments
• Integrate drivers and firmware into deployment workflows
• Validate patches within vulnerability management timelines
• Monitor compliance and document remediation actions
