The ideal candidate has an Associates Degree in IT or related experience and experience with IBM compatible systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

The Desktop Administrator’s role is to analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, provide end user training where required. Conduct hardware evaluations. Conduct vendor management (works closely with vendors on roadmaps for their products, pricing and issues). Conduct updates, security patches, testing, and planning for next versions of desktop software (MS Office, MS Operating System, etc.). This also includes, purchasing, planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all desktop, laptop, phone and printer hardware and software. The person will also help the network administrator as necessary to support the servers and network configuration.
