Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Deskside Support and IT Asset Manager to oversee IT endpoint troubleshooting and asset management for a federal civilian government client. The candidate will lead a ~30-person team, ensure ITIL v4 compliance, and optimize ServiceNow usage across deskside operations and asset lifecycle.

The role requires on-site work in Arlington, VA with potential travel to other project locations. Strong leadership, reporting, and process improvement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, with 14 years' experience (or equivalent).
• ITIL v4 Foundation and Intermediate certifications required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT service management, deskside operations, and IT asset management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 20+ individuals across geographically dispersed locations.
• Strong proficiency in ServiceNow for incident, service request, and asset management functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deskside support operations across multiple locations, ensuring SLAs and timely ticket resolution.
• Lead end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management, including inventory, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning using ServiceNow.
• Develop and enforce ITIL-based policies and processes to improve service delivery.
• Provide hands-on leadership to a ~30-person team located across multiple sites; set goals and conduct reviews.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance skills, certifications, and career development.
