Job summary

Vacaville Ranch Post-Acute is seeking a Desk Nurse for Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. You will assist the clinical team, document daily, perform dressing changes, and support on-floor care under the DON.

Responsibilities include observing patients, recording vitals, administering medications, and maintaining care records. You will also help improve processes and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Nursing or similar Facility preferred.
• Customer service and emotional maturity—ability to remain calm/kind in all situations.
• Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document and report on symptoms and any change in conditions of assigned patients/residents.
• Take and record temperatures, respiration and pulse.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, recording results/outcomes; set up treatment trays, clean and prepare equipment as needed and directed by DON.
• Maintain accurate, understandable patient care records and other clinical documentation.
• Identify process or facility issues, offering solutions for improvements to DON or Administrator in a professional collaborative manner.
• Lead by example in supporting a kind, collaborative and supportive work environment.
