Day-to-day duties include greeting showroom visitors, conducting design consultations, preparing proposals, and managing projects from concept to order, while collaborating with clients, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and a high-quality customer

Formación

• Strong communication and customer service skills; active listening, clear presentation, long-term client relationships.
• Proficiency in interior design and kitchen & bath design, including space planning and material selection.
• Demonstrated sales skills with consultative selling, closing techniques, and experience with targets or commission.
• ASID or NKBA affiliation preferred.
• Showroom/design studio or residential remodeling experience beneficial.
• Ability to read plans; CAD software familiarity is a plus.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Availability for standard showroom hours, including some evenings or weekends.
• Relevant education in interior design, architecture, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Visitors can explore fully realized kitchen and bath environments and interact with products in a real-use setting. The showroom is supported by experienced design professionals who guide clients through product selections and layout ideas. The environment is creative and client-focused, offering inspiration and tailored solutions for residential projects.

Role Description

The Designer Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chino Hills, CA. This position is responsible for guiding clients through the selection of kitchen and bath products, including cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, hardware, and surfaces, while providing design-informed recommendations that align with their budget and style. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and qualifying showroom visitors, conducting design consultations, preparing proposals and quotations, and managing projects from initial concept through order placement. The specialist collaborates with clients, trade partners, and internal team members to ensure accurate specifications, timely follow-up, and a high-quality customer experience. This role also involves maintaining visual merchandising standards, staying current on product offerings and design trends, and participating in events and trainings. ASID or NKBA affiliation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to listen actively, present ideas clearly, and build long-term client relationships.
• Proficiency in Interior Design and Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning, material selection, and understanding of functional layouts.
• Demonstrated Sales skills, including consultative selling, closing techniques, and experience working with sales targets or commission structures.
• Preferred professional involvement with ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) or NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association).
• Experience in a showroom, design studio, or residential remodeling environment is beneficial.
• Ability to read plans and measurements; familiarity with design or CAD software is a plus.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Availability to work standard retail or showroom hours, including some evenings or weekends as required.
• Relevant education in interior design, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
