Role Description

The Designer & Remodeling Assistant is a full-time hybrid role based in Carefree, AZ, with some flexibility for work from home. In this position, the individual supports project design and remodeling activities, including assisting with space planning, material and finish selections, and preparing design concepts and client presentations. The role involves coordinating with project managers and contractors, helping to update project documentation, schedules, and specifications, and ensuring that design details are accurately implemented on-site. Day-to-day responsibilities may include client communication, site visits, measurements, photo documentation, and organizing samples and design libraries. The Designer & Remodeling Assistant also contributes to maintaining quality standards, aligning designs with client expectations and budget, and supporting a smooth and efficient project workflow.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify showroom walk-ins, gather information about their potential project, and coordinate design consultations with our lead designer.


• Support the sales process by building relationships with prospective clients, following up on leads and helping move qualified projects toward a design consultation and sale.


• Assist with kitchen, bath and remodeling designs, product selections and client presentations.


• Obtain estimates and pricing from suppliers after products have been selected.


• Assist with purchasing, ordering and tracking selected products and materials.


• Upload and organize before, during and completed-project photographs and maintain organized in-house project files.


• Help organize renderings, selections, photos and project information for client presentations and digital flipbooks.


• Learn to add project details in 20/20 Design, including sinks, lighting, tile and surface materials, and save presentation


• Learn or assist with Houzz Pro and project information.


• Pick up and return samples from local suppliers and showrooms as needed.


• Occasionally visit jobsites to photograph progress and gather project information.


• Assist with social media content and showroom/community events that introduce new products, build local awareness and

We're Looking For:

• 1-2 years of experience in interior design, kitchen & bath, cabinetry, remodeling or a related field.


• A good design eye combined with strong organization and follow-through.


• Sales-minded and comfortable engaging prospective clients, asking questions and following up.


• Friendly, professional and comfortable interacting with clients, vendors and trade professionals.


• Self-motivated, flexible, resourceful and eager to learn.


• 20/20 Design experience is a plus; Houzz Pro experience is helpful.


• Comfortable with technology, photography and social media.


• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for occasional vendor and jobsite needs.


• Primarily available Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
