Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in Minnesota is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a team of engineers to design industrial mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.

You will create 3D layouts for ductwork and piping, contribute to plant design using Plant 3D and SolidWorks, and collaborate with engineers across disciplines. 4+ years of experience and strong attention to detail required.

This on-site role offers opportunities to advance mechanical design skills and to work on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years designing industrial mechanical systems with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with ductwork and piping layouts in 3D.
• Familiarity with PFD/P&ID diagrams.
• Experience with Plant 3D and SolidWorks.

Requirements

• Associate degree in architectural technology, engineering technology, mechanical / building system design, CAD technology, or related field.
• Four or more years of progressive experience designing industrial mechanical systems combined with a high proficiency of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Previous experience with layout of ductwork and piping systems in a 3D environment.
• Previous experience with layout of industrial systems such as process piping and ductwork.
• Previous experience with mechanical design.
• Familiarity with process flow diagrams, process piping diagrams, and/or piping & instrumentation diagrams.
• Experience with Plant 3D and SolidWorks
