Job summary

ANS is seeking an entry-level Structural Designer I to join our growing team. You will draft structural drawings and models to support renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and HV systems, under supervision.

Work with engineers and senior designers to learn CAD standards, file control, and project workflows while contributing to the creation of accurate foundation and steel detailing. This is a hands-on, growth-focused role.

Qualifications

• Experience using Autodesk products to prepare and revise structural drawings (plans, sections, elevations).
• Familiarity with foundations and building envelope drafting is helpful.
• Eagerness to learn CAD standards, templates, and revision control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural construction drawings under close supervision using Autodesk tools.
• Assist with drafting foundations (piles, cast-in-place concrete), steel structures, and envelopes.
• Support civil design team with BOMs and quantity takeoffs.
• Incorporate markups and revisions from engineers and designers accurately.
• Adhere to Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility drawing standards.
• Learn CAD standards, templates, and document control processes.

About the Role

As a Structural Designer I, you’ll join our growing structural engineering team in an entry-level drafting role. Working under close supervision, you’ll learn to produce structural drawings, models, and details that support our renewable energy projects across solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV).
