Job summary

ANS Team is seeking a Structural Engineer II in Raleigh, NC to join the growing structural engineering team. You will develop structural designs across renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, HV) with guidance, applying relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities include analyzing foundations and overhead structures, coordinating with civil designers, and producing calculations using Excel, RISA, and LPILE. Growth toward EIT/FE and PE licensure is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural, civil, or related engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 1+ years of structural engineering experience; EIT/FE preferred.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis and design and applicable codes/standards.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA) and Excel; LPILE and VBA/Python a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate across disciplines.

• Perform structural analysis and design for foundations (driven piles, screw and helical piles, cast-in-place concrete), overhead steel structures, building envelopes, and non-building structures with periodic review.
• Apply codes and standards — ASCE 7, IBC, NESC, ASCE 113, IEEE 693, NFPA — to design tasks.
• Adhere to Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards on all work.
• Coordinate with designers and civil team to develop drawings, details, and BOMs across project areas.
• Use Excel, RISA, and LPILE; VBA and Python a plus to document calculations.
• Expand technical breadth, support less-experienced staff, and progress toward EIT/FE and PE licensure.

About the Role

What We’re Looking For:

• A bachelor’s degree in structural, civil, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

$81,300 - $91,900 a year
