Job summary

ANS in Austin, TX, is seeking an Engineer III - Civil to join our multi-disciplinary team working on solar, wind, and battery storage projects.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 4–8 years of experience, and proficiency with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, GIS, and PV CASE. FE/EIT encouraged; PE a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
  • FE or EIT is strongly encouraged.
  • Professional Engineer is nice to have.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, GIS, PV CASE nice to have.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or battery storage is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • The Civil Engineer will work under a Project Lead (PE) on multi-discipline projects; interact with internal hydrology, geotechnical, structural, and electrical teams.
  • Designs civil engineering aspects including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, and SWPPP calculations.
  • Utilizes Civil 3D to produce engineered construction plans with minimal oversight.
  • Completes stormwater and E&S calculations to ensure quality standards.
  • Engages in multiple projects to complete requirements.
  • Interacts with regulatory agencies and review professionals to assist with permitting and coordination.
  • Occasionally performs site visits to validate site constraints and civil design solutions.

As our Engineer III - Civil, you’ll be joining our growing civil engineering team.The ideal candidate will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to develop a diverse range of renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, HV, Wind).

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Civil Engineer will work under a Project Lead (PE) on multi-discipline projects. They will interact directly with our internal hydrology, geotechnical, structural, and electrical engineering teams.
  • The role requires technical skills in Civil Engineering design including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, and SWPPP calculations and reports.
  • They will utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans with minimal oversight
  • Complete stormwater and E&S calculations to ensure quality standards are met for Engineers to stamp construction drawings and reports.
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects to complete successful requirement deliveries
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals in order to assist with permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies
  • On occasion with may perform site visits to validate site constraints and civil design solutions.

$100,000 - $120,000 a year
