Job summary

Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a hands-on Designer Fabricator to join the Artistic Development & Production team for a 4-month project. You will design and build artistic and structural components for exhibitions and installations, translating concepts and shop drawings into high-quality fabricated elements and on-site support.

This on-site role requires proficiency with wood, metal, plastics, 2D and 3D CAD tools, 3D printing, CNC, welding, and a collaborative, safety-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in artistic fabrication and installation.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and produce to spec.
• Understanding of tolerances and material properties.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to concept ideation and production planning.
• Create and interpret shop drawings and assemble components.
• Perform on-site installation and punch-list fixes.
• Maintain safe, organized workspace and document work.
• Mentor junior fabricators and share best practices.
