The Stellantis NV Auburn Hills, MI-based PHES team seeks a Senior Designer to advance propulsion HVAC and engine system design. You will use NX and CATIA for packaging, concepts, layouts, and checking of engine system components, including exhaust and air induction systems.

• Associate degree in design/engineering or related field.

The PHES (Propulsion-HVAC & Engine Systems)Senior Designer position is for a highly skilled and experienced designer for the Propulsion HVAC and Engine Systems Design Services team. The candidate will use NX CAD to perform packaging, concepts, designs, layouts and checking of Engine System components including, but not limited to the following: Routing and development for the exhaust systems (hot end, cold end, etc.), and air induction systems, (air boxes, ducts, hoses, engine covers, etc.),

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creation of explicit geometry, including use of parametric modeling.
• Completion of advanced packaging feasibility studies.
• Completion of manufacturability and/or feasibility studies.
• Packaging assessments of new components / systems (i.e. Air Induction, Cooling, HVAC, Fuels, and Exhaust systems, etc.).
• Working with engineers to complete manufacturing/service studies.
• Redesign models and complex assemblies to improve design quality.
• Commonization studies.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in design / engineering or related area of study and relevant training / experience in design or engineering field.
• Minimum of 7 years ofdesign experience including 7 years of experience in NX or Catia (basic skills test may be administered)
• Extensive experience with NX parametric solid modeling and Teamcenter
• Strong written and oral communications to lead design and packaging meetings
• Strong organization, planning, and data management skills
• Ability to create designs per engineering standards
• NX Mechanical Routing
• Ability to understand, create, and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models and apply tolerancing
• 0-20% travel, domestic and international

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or a technology related discipline
• Extensive experience using NX or CATIA parametric solid modeling
• Minimum 7 years of Air Induction Systems design and releasing experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, to include ability to work effectively within an extended team
• Experience in the design of complex CAD models assemblies and components
• Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple assignments
• Ability to apply GD&T and perform component stacks
• Knowledge of automotive systems and subsystems
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
