Job summary

Trane Technologies’ CAMS Designer 1 role is an entry-level design position creating 2D and 3D designs used in manufacturing customer-specific units. This position uses Creo Parametric and Trane software applying Boolean logic to drive parametric CAD models.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting principles.
• Basic knowledge of 3D CAD tools: Creo Parametric, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Exposure to Boolean logic, rules-based modeling, or programming concepts.
• Computer science coursework or programming experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to deliver quality solutions.
• Continue building technical knowledge through training and development opportunities.
