Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to greet customers, understand project needs, and create cohesive design concepts that fit their style and budget.

You will educate clients on options, walk them through from consultation to installation, and help drive sales of flooring, tile, and accessories. The role emphasizes relationship-building, in-store collaboration with leadership, and leveraging design trends to expand clientele.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Greet store customers and assist with design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.

Pay Range$16.02 - $24.05Purpose:Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. At Floor & Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget.Minimum Eligibility RequirementsMinimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experienceDegree in Design is a plusKnowledge of hard surface flooring is a plusProficient in basic mathematical skillsMust be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suiteInternal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant positionEssential FunctionsGreet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needsSchedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the storeProviding tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutionsManage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are requiredCollaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goalsEnthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employeesEngage in current and emerging design trends in your marketResponsible for understanding and utilizing design applications i.e.; Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProjectPerform other duties as assignedWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)Limited travel may be required by carWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
