Eads Cooling Solutions is seeking a SolidWorks Designer to join our team, focusing on design and drawing of air-cooled heat exchangers and related components.

The role requires 3D SolidWorks modeling experience and familiarity with ASME codes, with collaboration across Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• 3D SolidWorks modeling experience is required.
• Experience with air-cooled heat exchangers or relevant structural design knowledge is desired.
• General mechanical drafting knowledge and experience required.
• Familiarity with weld processes and symbols for vessel and structural applications desired.
• Experience with DriveWorks Automation is desired.
• SolidWorks: minimum of 3 years
• Mechanical Drafting: minimum of 3 years

Responsibilities

• Design and drawing of air-cooled heat exchangers and related components.
• Perform design calculations per ASME code as required.
• Review project specs and translate into fabrication drawings.
• Act as technical contact for shop and outsource fabricators.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering and Sales for technical info.
• Create and submit customer approval drawings and calculations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The SolidWorks Designer position is responsible for the design and drawing of air-cooled heat exchangers and other heat transfer components.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform design calculations per ASME code asrequired.
• Review and apply project specifications and incorporate them into fabricationdrawings.
• Serve as technical contact for the shop and outsourcefabricators.
• Coordinate with internal departments to establish information needed to complete all technical activities (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering,Sales).
• Create and submit all customer approval drawings andcalculations.
• Coordinate with engineering to complete bundle and structural detail drawings asneeded.
