Job summary

Alfred Williams & Company is seeking a talented Designer to join our furniture planning team. The role focuses on space planning, architectural detailing, and collaborative design with cross-functional teams to deliver workplace solutions.

You will develop detailed layouts, prepare presentation materials, and coordinate with vendors on pricing and products. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in commercial furniture design, CET Designer proficiency, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of practical experience in commercial furniture design and planning.
• Proficiency in CET Designer is required.
• MillerKnoll product knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in interior design is preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Input and develop furniture layouts and space plans in AutoCAD via CAP and CET Designer.
• Create color and material presentations (electronic and physical).
• Communicate with vendors to determine pricing, discounts, and proposals.
• Set up and maintain project files per design and company standards.
• Field verification and measurement of site conditions.
• Develop installation drawings and space planning for systems furniture.
• Compile inventory of existing products and data; record details.
